HealthEducation
Prevention is the most powerful medicine.
Health
Education
Many of the illnesses that claim lives and livelihoods in Busia are preventable. HIV/AIDS, malaria, water-borne disease, and malnutrition persist not because solutions are unknown, but because knowledge has not reached the people who need it most.
Razwa Foundation runs community health education campaigns across Busia District — practical, respectful sessions on HIV/AIDS prevention, malaria control, sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition. We work with local health workers and community leaders so the knowledge stays, spreads, and saves lives long after each campaign ends.
How We Do It
HIV/AIDS Awareness
Prevention education, stigma reduction, and testing referrals delivered in partnership with district health services and trusted community voices.
Malaria & Sanitation
Practical sessions on mosquito net use, safe water handling, waste management, and household hygiene — the everyday defences that prevent the most common illnesses.
Nutrition & Maternal Health
Guidance for mothers and caregivers on child nutrition, balanced diets from locally available foods, and safe maternal health practices.
The health team came to our village and taught us things no one had ever explained — how malaria spreads, how to keep our water safe. Since then, my children have not missed school for sickness the way they used to. Knowledge protected us.
