Anchors of faith, learning, and community.
Mosque
Construction
A mosque in a rural community is far more than a place of prayer. It is a school, a meeting hall, a centre of moral education, and a gathering point that binds a community together across generations.
Razwa Foundation supports the construction of mosques and Quranic learning centres across Busia — mobilising resources, coordinating construction, and establishing learning programmes that serve hundreds of students. Each project is community-initiated and community-owned, built to serve for generations.
How We Do It
Mosque Construction
Funding and coordinating the construction of community mosques — from foundation to finishing — using local labour and materials wherever possible.
Quranic Learning Centres
Establishing madrasas and Quranic schools alongside mosques, giving children access to moral and religious education within their own communities.
Community Stewardship
Training local committees to manage, maintain, and sustain each facility — ensuring these anchors of faith serve their communities for generations.
For years we prayed under a tree, and our children travelled far for Quranic lessons. Now we have a mosque and a madrasa in our own village. It has brought the whole community closer — in faith and in friendship.
